This CL is part of general GTK removal for ChromiumOS. Menu2 uses GTK on linux so we are replacing it with MenuItemView. Chrome Frame currently passes the context menu between processes by using the HMENU. Because MenuItemView does not use HMENU, we need to use another mechanism.
This CL creates a ContextMenuModel struct that is serialized into an automation message for Chrome Frame. ContextMenuModel contains the context menu definition in-band replacing the out-of-band HMENU.

automation_messages used to live in chrome/test/automation, when it's needed by
browser and chrome_frame. When I started lifting code out of headers and into
implementation files, I was getting link errors and temporarily solved the
problem by compiling the cc files manually into libbrowser.a. Now this is part
of chrome/common/ which is included by all targets needed.
While doing this, discover that automation IPC redefines the ContextMenuParams struct. Rename it to MiniContextMenuParams.

chrome, and requesting that |restore_focus_to_view| be passed as true, the Chrome-Frame instance will immediately focus the first focusable item on the loaded page. This does not match the focus behaviour of Chrome, or other browsers.
This focus behaviour was introduced in CL http://codereview.chromium.org/664009
. See changes TabProxy::SetInitialFocus.
I also corrected the Chrome-Frame unit-test file so that it no longer assumes that assigning focus to the Chrome-Frame instance will propagate the focus to the first focusable element in the loaded page.

NPAPI implementation.
These include window.open requests, hrefs with target _blank, etc.
The ChromeFrame NPAPI plugin needs to set the renderer pref which indicates that the host browser
can handle top level requests.
We also pass an additional flag in the CreateExternal tab IPC which indicates whether the host
browser supports full tab mode browsing or not. This defaults to true for IE, as the activex
implementation relies on being able to launch a new window with the attach external tab prefix.
which assumes support for full tab mode for IE being available. If the host browser does not
support full tab browsing the window.open request which comes into the ExternalTabContainer
instance creates a dummy ExternalTabContainer instance which is destroyed when the top level
navigation info is sent back to the host browser.
This CL is a short term fix for the issues with the NPAPI ChromeFrame plugin. Will do some
investigation into a better approach.

failing since
we started passing in the profile name in the list of parameters being passed to the
attach external tab request. The tests failed because when we launch the automation server
we match the profile names which end up being different for the original document url which
defaults to iexplore and the attach tab request which contains the profile name under which
chrome is launched which changes to Google Chrome Frame for IE6/7. We also need to escape
out the profile name while parsing it in the ParseAttachExternalTabUrl helper class.
Will add a test in a subsequent CL.

WM_NOTIFYPARENT messages. The hosted CF instance may have spawned a pop-up window. We do not want that pop-up window to lose focus/or dismiss itself when interacting with the CF instance as a result of the SetFocus(...) call here. To prevent this problem, we compare the root owner windows of the focus and plugin windows, instead of just testing !IsChild.
Reviewer note: The semantics of comparing root owner windows are slightly different from before. Will this modified test be safe for the purposes of the original test?

When chrome crashes, we draw a poor man's sad tab (":-("), so that can clearly be improved.
Another thing is that if the chrome instance that crashed held several navigational entries, then that history is lost.

rendered by ChromeFrame. The context menu is displayed
by the ChromeFrame plugin which grabs focus to ensure that the menu has focus, and then restores focus back once we select an
item. The latter step sends over a notification to Chrome via an automation message which then informs the view. This resets the
webview item selection which results in this bug.
Fix is to send over an additional flag to Chrome in the SetInitialFocus which indicates whether we need to inform the view about
the focus change or not.

Revert 42684 - Implements IDeleteBrowsing history and moves the GCF profile into the IE TIF directory for nonpriv mode users on IE < 8.
Implementation notes:
Earlier work enabled InPrivate browsing detection and mapped it to creation of an incognito profile instance.Privacy features and how they operate with this change:
"Delete Browsing History":
IE 6 & 7: all history (including databases) is deleted if cache is cleared *WITHOUT* an active Chrome process holding references to the profile resources. If GCF is rendering a page when the cache is cleared, history *WILL NOT* be deleted on the GCF side, however GCF will continue to operate and IE will remove all other history artifacts as usual.
IE 8: GCF cache is cleared in alignment with the options specified by the user. Clearing Temporary Internet Files may destroy the profile entirely, and so we need to consider not moving the GCF profile on IE 8.
"InPrivate Filtering":
IE 8 (only): more testing required.
"InPrivate Browsing":
IE 8 (only): pages rendered in GCF *after* entering InPrivate mode are not persisted to disk (use an incognito wrapper on the specified profile). Currently displayed pages are not effected by the switch, although refreshing them will invoke the new behavior. Generally speaking, BHO's are disabled by IE 8 while in InPrivate mode, so entering this state is wonky to begin with but we handle it as well as can be expected.

loading and extracting resources from the Chrome locale DLLs.
Add the Chrome Frame resource strings to the Chrome .grds so they get built directly into the Chrome locale dlls.
There is one remaining todo here, which is to load the dialog template into a grd + rc somewhere (probably in generated_resources.grd) and then get CF to load dialog templates from a different module. Will do that in another patch.

buttons on a link.
The right click would run the TrackPopupMenuEx API which runs a system modal loop and the left click
would cause the current document to be destroyed causing a crash on return while accessing member
variables on a destroyed object.
Fix is to grab a reference on the current active document while handling the context menu event to protect
against us getting destroyed in the context of the TrackPopupMenuEx call.
We also need to NULL check the automation_client_ member in ChromeFramePlugin as this could be detached
from the existing active document and attached to the new active document instance which comes up to
handle the link navigation.

implements the PluginRequestHandler
interface which is maintained by individual requests which can outlive the active document/activex instances.
I ran into a crash where UrlmonUrlRequest was calling into an invalid PluginRequestHandler pointer which
had been destroyed just before.
We also need to ensure that UrlmonUrlRequest and ChromeFrameActiveXBase select the multi threaded model as
AddRef/Release can be invoked from multiple threads.
I also removed the CleanupAsyncRequests function in ChromeFrameAutomationClient and moved all the code to CleanupRequests, which ensures that we treat synchronous
and asynchronous requests similarly.
There are instances where an automation client instance is created and destroyed without being initialized which causes a spurious assert to fire in the Uninitialize function. I added a check in the Uninitialize function to return if the state is uninitialized.

APIs to forward (and thus stub out in your test), while others will
keep being fulfilled as per usual. This lets you build tests that
stub out one piece of behavior while testing that some side effects of
another API happen as expected.
