* This CL adds a way to specify the security info when canceling a URLRequest.jcampan@chromium.org2009-03-073-6/+32
| | | | | | | | | | | This allows to tag a request on the renderer side with its security info. It is useful for the "frame info" dialog. When showing that dialog for blocked frames, the security info can be retrieved and users can see the cert details for the blocked frame. TEST=Open a page containing a frame served over bad HTTPS. The frame is blocked (replaced with a warning message). Right-click, select "Frame info". The dialog should have a "show cert" button which when pressed should show the frame's bad cert. * Highlights of changes:hclam@chromium.org2009-03-051-0/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | 1. Added entry to ResourceResponseHead so that it contains either a base::PlatformFile (OS_WIN) or base::FileDescriptor (OS_POSIX) for passing the file handle from browser to renderer process. 2. Also added IPC messages for reporting download progress and ACK message for it. ResourceLoaderBridge::Peer::OnDownloadProgress is added so that the peer is notified of the download progress in the renderer process. 3. Load flag to kick start the resource loading for media files. LOAD_MEDIA_RESOURCE is added so that ResourceDispatcherHost knows how to use a different ResourceHandler for handling media resource request. * Provide error reporting and recovery for SDCH responses not market as HTMLjar@chromium.org2009-02-211-2/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Some AV software may actually strip content type as well as content encoding. As a result, when we propose a dicitonary (suggesting that this will probably be an SDCH encoded response) we need to be ready to "fix" the content-encoding string if it is not marked as gzip, sdch. Note that "fixups" put in tentative decodes, which degrade to pass-through filters if the content's header is not compatible with the decoding format. I also added a line of defensive coding in the dictionary fetcher, and cleaned up a line where I record stats after decoding sdch. bug=7679 r=openvcdiff, huanr Review URL: http://codereview.chromium.org/27016 git-svn-id: svn://svn.chromium.org/chrome/trunk/src@10143 0039d316-1c4b-4281-b951-d872f2087c98

The fix is to use a scoped_refptr for both the return value as well as for the local variable. This failure case is triggered by the purify bot not having the test certificate installed. We should also fix that so that we run more tests on the purify bot. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Windows uses a DWORD (unsigned long) for thread ids and POSIX uses a pid_t (int on Linux) for the same. In the code, we are currently stuffing thread ids into an int which is dangerous on Windows (because DWORDS can exceed an int and wrap) and will break if pid_t is ever != int. This change changes all the places where we currently have an int to use a new typedef, PlatformThreadId. This change also needs to occur for process ids, but I'm not doing that in this CL. * Improve SDCH stability stats and error recoveryjar@chromium.org2009-01-201-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This CL provides an exponential back-off (within a run of chromium) for recovery to a decoding error, rather than an full disable of SDCH when a (minor) error appears. This will help to recover from the common (implementation) problem where a user has an SDCH encoded page as a startup tab, but doesn't still have the requisite dictionary from the previous run. The exponential backoff is not "time based," but instead counts down the number of times a tentatively blacklisted domain is accessed. I now detect the use of the browser cache in an SDCH decode, and use that to better identify if external proxies have corrupted the process, vs internal use of cache (such as at startup) has caused a "dictionary not found" error to emerge. r=openvcdiff, huanr Review URL: http://codereview.chromium.org/18355 git-svn-id: svn://svn.chromium.org/chrome/trunk/src@8290 0039d316-1c4b-4281-b951-d872f2087c98
