* Add a new GetInstance() method for singleton classes, take 2.satish@chromium.org2010-12-082-3/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is a small step towards making all singleton classes use the Singleton<T> pattern within their code and not expect the callers to know about it. This CL includes all files except those under chrome/browser, chrome/net, chrome/service and third_party/WebKit (these will be done in future CLs). Suggested files to focus for reviewers: - joi@ for files under src/ceee - tommi@ for files under src/chrome_frame - maruel@ for the rest of the files. BUG=65298 TEST=all existing tests should continue to pass. * touchui: Create touch-events.sadrul@chromium.org2010-11-232-6/+61
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Create and process touch-events. The touch-events are created from pointer-events. The way to decide whether a 'pointer event' originated from a touch-device is not yet well-defined. So for now, use the --touch-devices command line parameter to specify which pointer devices should be treated as touch-device. For example, you can run: ./out/Debug/chrome --touch-devices=7,8 to treat the events coming in from devices with id 7 and 8 as touch events. (these are the slave ids you get from 'xinput list') BUG=None TEST=None Review URL: http://codereview.chromium.org/4738001 git-svn-id: svn://svn.chromium.org/chrome/trunk/src@67133 0039d316-1c4b-4281-b951-d872f2087c98

* Hijack mouse-related events for TOUCH_UI buildsbryeung@google.com2010-10-211-0/+32
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | With this change, which is specifically for TOUCH_UI builds, mouse-related messages are hijacked from the normal Gdk event dispatcher and processed manually in the file touchui/touchui.cc. GdkEvents are converted directly to views events, and dispatched to the RootView. This is preliminary work that will be followed by more elaborate message pump changes, and ultimately is in the spirit of removing Gtk entirely for TOUCH_UI (Chromium-Views-Gtk). * Fix regression that stopped properly restoring focus to tab contents.dmazzoni@chromium.org2010-07-231-3/+16
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The bug in r51262 was that native_tab_contents_container_win overrides RequestFocus, so it can't be *reliably* focused just using SetFocus. This is a simple, straightforward fix that should be merged for M6. Afterwards, I think a better solution for the dev channel would be to get rid of the hacky RequestFocus overrides and add a View::HasNativeFocus method so that FocusManager can tell when it thinks a view already has focus, but the native focus might need to be set again. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We currently only set focus to the widget's hWnd, but we really want to also notify assistive technologies that a child view received focus so that it can know to obtain an IAccessible for that custom child view using the widget hWnd. The widget hWnd has our implementation of IAccessible through AccessibilityWrapper/ViewAccessibility. * Skip accelerator handling if there is a grabbed widget.xiyuan@chromium.org2010-05-031-1/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | Grabbed widget in gtk should get all the mouse and keyboard events and we should respect that. BUG=<http://crosbug.com/2355> TEST=Verify 2nd issue of 2355 that combobox dropdown should not disappear after mouse release. Also verify that 1st ESC should clear off combo's dropdown and 2nd ESC should dismiss the dialog. Please also pay attention to other regressions related to accelerator keys on gtk (linux, linux_chromeos builds). * Defer WidgetGtk's focus manager destructionxiyuan@chromium.org2010-04-202-1/+103
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is for the case when a WidgetGtk is hosted in another WidgtGtk and holds a reference to its focus manager. When hosting widget is destroied, it gets the "destroy" signal before the contained widget and thus schedules its destruction before the contained widget. And currently, we are not clearing the focus manager reference in another root view and when contained widget destructs, we crash. By changing focus manager's release into another message, the focus manager remains valid during contained widget destruction. BUG=none TEST=In ChromeOS, bring up options dialog and then click on buttons such as language settings, networ config etc. Then dismiss the options dialog and Chrome should not crash. * Keyboard accessibility for the page and app menus.dmazzoni@chromium.org2010-03-314-1/+35
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Works on Windows, and on Linux with toolkit_views. The goal is to make Chrome behave more like a standard Windows application, for users who rely on the keyboard and expect standard keyboard accelerators to work. Pressing F10, or pressing and releasing Alt, will set focus to the Page menu, as if it was the first item in a menu bar. Pressing enter, space, up arrow, or down arrow will open the focused menu. Once a menu is opened, pressing left and right arrows will switch between the two menus. Pressing escape will return focus to the title of the previously open menu. A new UI test attempts to select something from the menus using only the keyboard. It works on Linux (with toolkit_views) and on Windows. BUG=none TEST=New keyboard accessibility interactive ui test.
