* [IPV4]: Document icmp_errors_use_inbound_ifaddr sysctlHorms2006-02-021-0/+17
| | | | | | | | | | | | Taken largely from the commit of the patch that added this feature: 1c2fb7f93cb20621772bf304f3dba0849942e5db I'm not sure about the ordering of the options in sysctl.txt, so I took a wild guess about where it fits. * [IPV4]: Safer reassemblyHerbert Xu2006-01-031-0/+23
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Another spin of Herbert Xu's "safer ip reassembly" patch for 2.6.16. (The original patch is here: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-netdev&m=112281936522415&w=2 and my only contribution is to have tested it.) This patch (optionally) does additional checks before accepting IP fragments, which can greatly reduce the possibility of reassembling fragments which originated from different IP datagrams. * [TCP]: Appropriate Byte Count supportStephen Hemminger2005-11-101-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This is an updated version of the RFC3465 ABC patch originally for Linux 2.6.11-rc4 by Yee-Ting Li. ABC is a way of counting bytes ack'd rather than packets when updating congestion control. The orignal ABC described in the RFC applied to a Reno style algorithm. For advanced congestion control there is little change after leaving slow start. Signed-off-by: Stephen Hemminger <shemminger@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

* [IPV4]: Update icmp sysctl docs and disable broadcast ECHO/TIMESTAMP by defaultDavid S. Miller2005-10-031-3/+7
| | | | | | | It's not a good idea to be smurf'able by default. The few people who need this can turn it on. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [TCP]: Update sysctl and congestion control documentation.Stephen Hemminger2005-06-231-51/+5

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
