* [PATCH] uml: big memory fixesJeff Dike2005-11-071-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | A number of fixes to improve behavior when large physical memory sizes are specified: - libc files need -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 because there are unavoidable uses of non-64 interfaces in libc - some %d need to be %u Signed-off-by: Jeff Dike <jdike@addtoit.com> Cc: Paolo Giarrusso <blaisorblade@yahoo.it> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] uml: clear SKAS0/3 flags when running in TT modePaolo 'Blaisorblade' Giarrusso2005-09-301-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | SEGV_MAYBE_FIXABLE tests ptrace_faultinfo, and depends on it being 1 only in SKAS3 mode, while currently when running with mode=tt it will be 1 anyway. Fix this, and do the same for proc_mm. * [PATCH] uml: move libc code out of mem_user.c and tempfile.cJeff Dike2005-09-171-5/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The serial UML OS-abstraction layer patch (um/kernel dir). This moves all system calls from mem_user.c and tempfile.c files under os-Linux dir. * [PATCH] uml: move libc-dependent startup and signal codeGennady Sharapov2005-09-051-1/+1

* [PATCH] uml: workaround GDB problems on debuggingPaolo 'Blaisorblade' Giarrusso2005-09-051-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Apparently, GDB gets confused when we do an execvp() on ourselves. Since it's simply done to allocate further space for command line arguments (which we'll use to allow gathering the startup command line for guest processes through the host), allow the user to disable that to get a debuggable UML binary. * [PATCH] uml: add skas0 command-line optionPaolo 'Blaisorblade' Giarrusso2005-07-271-0/+19
| | | | | | | | | | This adds the "skas0" parameter to force skas0 operation on SKAS3 host and shows which operating mode has been selected. * [PATCH] uml: remove duplicate includesJeff Dike2005-06-131-1/+0
| | | | | | | | A few files include the same header twice. Signed-off-by: Jeff Dike <jdike@addtoit.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] uml: remove jail mode + other leftoversPaolo 'Blaisorblade' Giarrusso2005-05-281-6/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This var is currently useless, as it's apparent from reading the code. Until 2.6.11 it was used in some code related to jail mode, in the same proc.: if(jail){ while(!reading) sched_yield(); } jail mode has been dropped, together with that use, so let's finish dropping this. Also, remove some other useless definitions I met. * [PATCH] uml: command line handling cleanupJeff Dike2005-05-061-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | | Command line handling cleanups - a couple of things made static and an unused declaration removed from header. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
