| | | | | | | | | | | | | These devices are better controlled with the LGPL userspace library found at: http://www.phidgets.com/downloads.php?os_id=3 and full documentation at: http://www.phidgets.com/documentation/web/cdoc/index.html Cc: Chester Fitchett <fitchett@phidgets.com> Acked-by: Sean Young <sean@mess.org> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
* device create: usb: convert device_create_drvdata to device_createGreg Kroah-Hartman2008-10-161-3/+2

* USB: Phidget: fix race in device_createGreg Kroah-Hartman2008-05-201-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There is a race from when a device is created with device_create() and then the drvdata is set with a call to dev_set_drvdata() in which a sysfs file could be open, yet the drvdata will be NULL, causing all sorts of bad things to happen. This patch fixes the problem by using the new function, device_create_drvdata(). It fixes all 3 phidget drivers, which all have the same problem. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
