* xfs: convert attr to use unsigned namesDave Chinner2010-01-201-8/+19
| | | | | | | | | | To be consistent with the directory code, the attr code should use unsigned names. Convert the names from the vfs at the highest level to unsigned, and ænsure they are consistenly used as unsigned down to disk. * sanitize xattr handler prototypesChristoph Hellwig2009-12-161-56/+15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add a flags argument to struct xattr_handler and pass it to all xattr handler methods. This allows using the same methods for multiple handlers, e.g. for the ACL methods which perform exactly the same action for the access and default ACLs, just using a different underlying attribute. With a little more groundwork it'll also allow sharing the methods for the regular user/trusted/secure handlers in extN, ocfs2 and jffs2 like it's already done for xfs in this patch. Also change the inode argument to the handlers to a dentry to allow using the handlers mechnism for filesystems that require it later, e.g. cifs. * xfs: use generic Posix ACL codeChristoph Hellwig2009-06-101-63/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | This patch rips out the XFS ACL handling code and uses the generic fs/posix_acl.c code instead. The ondisk format is of course left unchanged. This also introduces the same ACL caching all other Linux filesystems do by adding pointers to the acl and default acl in struct xfs_inode. * [XFS] Remove vn_revalidate calls in xfs.Christoph Hellwig2008-07-281-5/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | These days most of the attributes in struct inode are properly kept in sync by XFS. This patch removes the need for vn_revalidate completely by: - keeping inode.i_flags uptodate after any flags are updated in xfs_ioctl_setattr - keeping i_mode, i_uid and i_gid uptodate in xfs_setattr SGI-PV: 984566 SGI-Modid: xfs-linux-melb:xfs-kern:31679a Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@infradead.org> Signed-off-by: Tim Shimmin <tes@sgi.com> Signed-off-by: Lachlan McIlroy <lachlan@sgi.com>
